The 24th annual Bicycle Film Festival is returning to Bend, Oregon for its 3rd edition on June 6 at the Tower Theater.

Once again all proceeds from the event will go to support Oregon Adaptive Sports. Join us for a great night of film and bike conversation and help support OAS!

This year, Bicycle Film Festival Bend presents a short film program curated for Oregon, an in-person conversation with America's only Tour de France winner, Greg Lemond, and the Bend premiere of the film, Flandrien.

BFF BEND SELECT SHORTS:

BFF has been celebrating bicycles through art, film and music over the last 24 years to an audience of over one million people in over 100 cities worldwide. BFF Bend presents films curated for Bend that celebrate the cycling legends, the community change makers and the bicycle:

  • Legendary downhill racer, Greg Minnaar’s bad crash was frightening - but more frightening: the idea of being airlifted to the hospital by helicopter
  • Seven years after an oak tree came crashing down on top of 65 year old David Lawrence while on a bike ride, he embarks on his first-ever bikepacking trip
  • Paracyclist Meg Fisher set out to be the first paracyclist to complete in two of the world’s toughest bike courses back-to-back: Leadville Trail 100 MTB and SBT GRVL’s Black Course.
  • Seattle cyclist, Izzy Sederbaum navigates aftermath of surviving a rare cougar attack

FLANDRIEN:

Dir. Paul Willerton | USA, Belgium 2023

Set in the Flanders region of Belgium, Flandrien explores the past, present, and future of cycling and local culture. The Tour of Flanders itself plays a starring role, as well as some of the riders who have been awarded the esteemed title of being a true “Flandrien.”

Flandrien director, Paul Willerton will be in attendance and moderate a Q&A about the film and the in-person conversation with Greg Lemond.

GREG LEMOND:

Join us in conversation with Greg Lemond, one of the greatest professional cyclists of all time. Lemond is universally revered around the world as an ambassador of cycling. In his career, he won the Tour de France 3x and won the World Road Race Championship 2x. Lemond, from the US, is a pioneer for introducing several technological advancements in cycling. He has been awarded the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest civilian honor awarded in the United States.
